Self-Tracking Rear Axles for Reduced Tyre Wear & Improved Turning
A mechanical linkage driven through the kingpin steers the last axle as the tractor turns. The trailer follows a narrower path through roundabouts, tight yards and loading zones, and the steered axle scrubs its tyres less. The system needs no hydraulics or electronics. On straight routes, the Standard Platform does the same work with fixed axles.
