Hydraulic Cable Drum Transport & Cable Laying
Specially designed for cable drum transport, hydraulic reel lifting, controlled unwinding and rewinding on power, telecom and utility projects. STU produces this reel cable roller trailer with 1 axle with adjustable hydraulic arms, operation by remote control and a stable chassis for demanding field work.
Hydraulic arms lift cable drums of up to 7,000 kg, widen to the reel width with automatic locking, move left and right, and rewind or unwind the cable during laying. A Honda GX630 engine drives a Bosch Rexroth pump, and the operator controls every major movement with an Autec joystick remote; manual control is also available.
The chassis is Strenx 700MC / S960Q high-strength steel from SSAB on a single TRAX drum axle rated at 12 tonnes, with hydraulic suspension and Knorr-Bremse 2S-2M EBS: high-strength steel explained. The platform extends to suit the reel, the mudguards and light beam move with it, and rear hydraulic landing gear steadies the trailer during loading. Width 2,550 mm, maximum height 4,000 mm, empty weight 6,000 kg ±3%.
